“Christ’s Life to Us” is a short Christian poem written by Gary R. Hess for Good Friday and Easter, but it is still a great religious poem for all times of the year. This poem is directed to all those who seek Jesus‘s help during the rough times and look for his guidance as well as his assurance that things will get better tomorrow.
“Christ’s Life to Us” by Gary R. Hess
He sacrificed himself for the greater good
with his life spent preachin’,
and his life worth rememberin’
We pray to him,
and we talk to him
about our sufferin’
to cure us of this pain
in hope he returns again.
And in this life,
this pain is hard,
so take it all away
and take this life
and make it yours.
Without him…
we are tired.
Without him…
there’s no grace.
Take us
and let us spend our life
