My Inspiration

Bernie Sanders inspires me
that America can be:
the land of liberty.
It can be:
A country that supports
one another
in times of sickness
and in times of injustice.
The inequality that has
become of us
has taken hold of me
and twisted my soul
into an unrecognizable being
I call hate.
But America can be:
a country that loves
one another.
America can be:
one nation of equality.
We can be:
a country that loves.
