“The Rabbit’s Egg” by Gary R. Hess

The rabbit hops and then drops a golden egg.
She nudges it with her teeny tiny feet
and picks it up with her small little paws.
“It’s chocolate!”, she gasps and takes a bite.
She then feels the sunlight hit her fluffy, floppy ears.
As she smiles, she brings about spring
and gives Easter to all the children of the land.
