Original Political Poetry by Gary R. Hess

Politics is always on American minds. Whether it’s about taxes, educational funding, or whatever stupid thing the president did today, we follow it with fervor. We make and break relationships because of it, and we talk about it for hours. In this section, you’ll find all of these serious talks along with some lighter, more humorous topics in these original political poems written by Gary R. Hess.

Hess writes about his own experiences with the government and his own personal philosophy on what the government should and shouldn’t do. Also, let’s face it, living through a Donald Trump presidency has made it a lot easier to write political poems, as does being a Kansas native, the experimental playground for terrible Conservative ideas.
