God never invisioned us to be slaves
for even those of wages.
God never told those to die
who can’t afford their care.
God never told us
to live and die for money.
God said to live and die
for all he is and what he is.
God is love.
God is beauty.
God is nature.
God is care.
Choosing inequality when it’s
exchanged for “pro-life” is hysterical
the same way that God is political.
God is God
and he cares only about what we believe
and how we perceive others.
The ten commandments aren’t
only words on tablets,
they are God’s words.
God’s words to tell us who we are
and what we should believe.
No, we shouldn’t covet thy neighbor’s goods,
but our neighbor shouldn’t have those goods
if they loved their neighbor.
Love thy neighbor as thyself is His words.
Do we love those we don’t care for?
Do we love those who go hungry?
Do we love those who get shot for being a different color?
Or do we love those who die for our sins
and the One who created this holy world
and this holy land and all his holy children.
Love is a strong word.
A strong word that has meaning
and has a place in our hearts
and in our minds and in our actions.
We can change.
We can change our nation.
We can change the world.
